FTP through "My Network Places"

Right click "My Network Places" and choose "Map network drive".

This can be done either through the "Start" menu as shown in the image to the right or through the Desktop if you have chosen to "show classic start menu" as shown in the image to the left.


Click "Sign up for online storage or connect to a network server"


Click "Next"


Click...

"Choose another network location
Specify the address of a Web site, network location or FTP site"

... and click next


Fill in your FTP address and click next

(example. ftp://ftp.domainname.se)


Do NOT check "Anonymous login" but instead fill in your username in the field and click next.


Type in a name for your FTP place so you can identify it easier.


Click "Finish" and your new FTP place is ready to use under "My Network Places".

At login you can choose to "Save password" so you will not need to type it in every time.
